About us

Hi,

Let us introduce ourselves.

My name is Russel, and I'm Zoë, together we formed Bødhis Bears.

On the 24th March 2023, we sadly lost our beautiful  little boy during his sleep and ours.

Bødhi was a fun loving 8 month old who absolutely adored music, sensory time, food, ducks and his favourite people.  He was forever giggling away, his presence and energy filling every room of the house or place he visited. Always curious and definately entertaining, Bødhi was our world, our life and our joy.

Bødhi taught us to smile, to let go, and to take every moment as it came. Because of this, we decided we would begin Bødhis bears. While aiming to bring joy, hope and happiness to others we hope to expand ourselves by sharing our story while doing our small acts of kindness.

From this, Bødhis ducks began.

As we continued through 2023 we put out collectively over 1000 ducks. Each tagged with #BØD and as dad's website began to build we started to add our webpage to the underside.

Bødhis ducks took off, becoming a regular outting almost weekly to keep the ducks out in the hands of the public. As you can imagine, we have seen our ducks travel far and wide.

At the beginning of 2024 Daddy bear decided to host a gaming tournament, he stressed himself out daily as he wanted to make it perfect for all those watching and taking part, something he managed to pull off in the end raising just over £380 and creating a new chapter for Bødhis Duck/ Bødhis bears. These tournament will be now ran 3 monthly with a small cash prize for the winner and a nice donation pot each time to be donated to charities that support child bereavement. Please email MCIQ@yahoo.com if you're interested in participating.

In Feb 2024 Auntie Amie decided she would take on 100km during March, and just like I knew my auntie could, she smashed her 100km by my years anniversary and raised over £378 that was donated to Sands UK.

As we continue into 2024 there are challenges set to be completed still. One of these is the Snowdon climb est April and also 100km walk on 24 hours to be completed by Daddy Bear.

Please stay tuned as we keep growing as a charity/family unit supporting those who have lost alike us.

(More to come!)
